Extra Special High School Senior! | Minneapolis High School Senior Portraits

I was extremely excited and lucky to get to do senior photos for this handsome young man, David:

Groves Academy senior portraits
You see, I first met David almost seventeen years ago when he was just a baby- only about three months old and I was his nanny!

He was probably about five or six months old here? Hard to remember… Anyway, I have kept in touch with David and his wonderful Mom Sallie over the years, although I haven’t seen them nearly often enough- here is a photo with David holding my youngest, Joey, about 8 years ago, along side him are my other two- Lauren (look at those curls!) and Jacob. Excuse the awful quality, I snapped a photo of a photo with my iphone, rather than connecting my scanner. I’m too busy to do it right today!;)

So, back to David: now he is all grown up, tall, handsome and in his senior year of high school already! It was SO wonderful to see him, and to get to take his senior photos. He is such a great kid, and I can’t believe how fast the time has gone. Thanks again Sallie & David!

A few more, and I’ll have the entire gallery up asap!

I might be biased (or not!) but I think David could have a modeling career if he wanted…:)

thanks again-

Handsome Southwest high school senior | Minneapolis High School Senior Portraits

I always enjoy doing senior photos for guys who have a good attitude about it.:)I never expect them to be “into” it like girls often are- but when they are so friendly,  and are so easy to photograph, like Patrick – my job is much easier. Although I will admit photographing a guy who is a foot taller than me is a bit of a challenge, I think we got some great shots. Here are a few sneak peeks from our session, I’ll have the rest up asap. Thanks again!

Natural beauty…|Minneapolis high school senior photos, Twin Cities, MN

Photographing Hannah was such a breath of fresh air- she has such a lovely natural beauty. I asked her if she was Irish, (nope) because her lovely skin tone, gorgeous freckles (yes, you may hate ‘em, but others are jealous!) and beautiful hair just looks so Ireland to me.:)She is also remarkably smart, a super talented award winning photographer hersef (!!)  and such a sweet person. We lucked out with another lovely fall day in Minneapolis to do her senior photos. Here are a few sneak peeks, I’ll have the rest of your gallery up asap!

St. Louis Park family photo session… | Mary Hanson Photography family portraits

Beautiful fall portaits, Edina, St. Louis Park, Minneapolis, children, family, black & white, color
I love this family. I know, I gush a little about all my wonderful families that I get to photograph – but repeat clients are my favorites; when I get to see their kids grow up right in front of my lens! I’ve been photographing these stunning, awesome kids for years now and every time I see them I wish I could see them more often. I’ve probably already said this in years past, but one of the best things about them is what great kids they are. And their parents are like old friends, I could talk to them for hours. And their clothes are like a trunk show of extra adorable boutique stuff. And the kids are smart, funny and listen to me (most of the time! lol) And they actually seem to really like their siblings. And I’m going to stop gushing now and post some more pictures.:)
